GENERAL INTERACTIONS
1. This a public forum, open to all and welcoming anyone who may wish to join. People come from all over, different backgrounds and ethnicities, different cultures and different ideas. No derogatory remarks may be made by any person(s) against any person(s) to include, but not limited to: gender, lineage, life choices, ideology, hygiene, heritage and/or any subject about a person(s) that may be considered willfully disdainful, malicious, cruel, bigoted, or unkind. Please be considerate and mindful of others and your interactions with them.
2. Out-of-Character (OOC) boards as well as the Chat Box and the Shout-Box are strictly PG-13 as they are in full view of any guest and visitors who may happen upon the site. Keep it clean.
3. Any grievances or troubles with other characters, or sighted violations of the rules, will be reported to the Staff for determinate action to be taken. No members will take action against another member, make threatening remarks of violence or danger, or threats against personal safety at any time. Violators will be banned.
4. Do not post any personal information to include, but not limited to: personal e-mails, full names, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, addresses, social security numbers, personally identifiable numbers (military or government ID codes and numbers, employee badge numbers, etc), or any other information that may be stolen.
5. This is an open forum, automatically considered “PG-13” site wide. It does allow for explicit content in writing within the posts (see IC Posting Regulations) on the role-play boards only. However, no explicitly violent or sexual content (pictures, videos, texts, links) may be posted within any OOC board or the home-page to include the Shout Box.
You may NOT petition, incite, coerce, bribe, or offer in any way, other members of the site with any explicit content, media, live currency, references or trade of illegal drugs, or links to any sites that would violate morale and ethics regarding discrimination in any form to include, but not limited to: gender, lineage, life choices, ideology, hygiene, heritage and/or any subject about a person(s) that may be considered willfully disdainful, malicious, cruel, bigoted, or unkind.
Staff reserves the right to all final decisions regarding explicit content violations.
IC Posting Regulations
1. General posting is automatically considered “PG-13” in and of any thread or content on this site. In Character (IC) Posting may be allowed content up to “NC-17” in the spirit of creative freedom, but only in the role-play boards. However, all parties in any said thread must agree BEFOREHAND to the allowance of content considered explicit. An “EXPLICIT” tag must be placed at the beginning of any thread that does indeed include any content considered explicit, as well as “-EX-” placed at the end of the title of said thread. Any explicit content placed within the thread without these tags being visible will result in the specific post being deleted and the violator(s) to be warned via Personal Message. Second violations, anywhere on the site, will result in a temporary ban on the violator(s). Further violations will result in the violator(s) to be deleted. Staff reserve the right to all final decisions regarding explicit content.
2. Please do not place OOC discussions in any of the IC threads. OOC discussions must be held within the OOC Shout-Box and the OOC boards.
3. In Character posts must be at least one paragraph, at least five full sentences, in length. The player may interact with any/all characters within the allowance of the individual thread and are encouraged to do so. The individual interactions are left up to the creativity of the authors involved in the thread.
4. No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Godmodding is being invincible/unbeatable/always right. Powerplaying is taking control of other players' characters without their consent to make them speak or behave out of character or against their players' wishes.
5. Religious discussions or religion influenced speeches are forbidden outside of the theology of OOC boards. Violations will be deleted and the violator(s) banned. Staff reserves the right to all final decisions regarding prohibited religious content.
6. If your character is coming into the role-play with a special ability, you must state it in your character application sheet. You cannot magically have your character have a special ability just because you see another character have one, in the middle of the role-play, without permission from a Staffer.
7. TIME LIMITS! Yes, there are indeed time limits to be held. All characters are given a maximum allowance of 30 (or one calendar month) days with which to make at least one In Character post. Failure to do so will result in a warning for the character in question to post soon. Failing that, the character will be locked out from from all role-play boards. You will, however, still be allowed to access OOC boards from your account. Once locked, the author will need to redeem the character from Purgatory (deleted characters board) in order to begin role-playing with that character again.
---AS THE SITE IS NEW AND STILL DRAWING IN MEMBERS, THE TIME LIMIT STATUTE IS NOT IN EFFECT. AS WE GAIN MORE PEOPLE TO THE SITE, AND THE NEED ARISES TO MAINTAIN FLOW, IT WILL BE REINSTATED.
8. All characters are required to post at least once every 30 days to any In Character thread they are involved in. Failure to do so will be notified via PM.
9. A player may not allow their character(s) to default on the Time Limit policy and then remain in the Shout Box. If done, the violator(s) will be notified via PM.
10. If, for any reason, you feel that you will not be able to meet your character's deadlines, please notify a staff member. We understand that things happen in real life that are not always in our control, but this is merely courtesy for the other writers. We will meet each request on case by case basis. Please see Leaves of Absence.
11. Please make an effort to be literate. The site offers a spell-check and occasionally catches grammar, but I recommend Microsoft Word Processor or similar application. It helps to write the post there, check it for errors, and then post. Players may not necessarily be admonished for spelling errors or grammatical mistakes, but a certain amount of care to your posts makes it more enjoyable for everyone.
Shout Box
1. The Shout Box is an In Character box. It is not intended to be used for site canon in any way. Players may use the Shout Box as a fun pass time or for games.
2. The Shout Box is authorized for use by anyone.
3. If you are banned from the Shout Box, for whatever reason, you will be notified via PM from a staff member. Do not use the box to vent or complain about being banned from something else. This could lead to you being banned banned from all Home Page and OOC boards.
4. The Shout Box falls under General Interactions and is considered “PG-13.” No explicit content may be posted in them at any time. Violations will be deleted and the violator(s) warned.
Character Application
1. All characters must be approved before being allowed to write in any of the In Character player boards. All members may still use the Shout Box and OOC boards in the mean time
2. Only one person may play any individual character at any one time. Once accepted, the character officially belongs to that player and may not be used by another, even as NPC.
3. No accepted characters are exempt to any of the rules or regulations, and as such may be removed from any player’s control if the player is in repeated violation. Staff reserves the right to make all final decisions on character and player violations.
Leaves of Absence
1. It is perfectly understood that some players may not be as active as others or may indeed have other real-life occasions which may prevent one from posting regularly. If such an occurrence shows itself, please simply make a post in the Salutations board so as to notify Staff members and any players with which you are currently involved in a thread.
2. All players are allowed a maximum of 60 days, with approval of a Staff member to an LoA, with which to return to regular posting. Failure or inability to do so may result in your characters being sent to Purgatory. If so, the standard rules apply.
Further rules or modifications may yet apply as the future dictates, but a Admin will ensure notification site-wide. If notified, please view the modifications as necessary.
